You are invited to attend the Philadelphia Regional Mass Shooting Preparedness Forum on September 24, 2024, in ​King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.


The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS), in partnership with the ​Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force, has developed this forum to focus on the vital roles that regional, ​state, and local leaders play in preparing for and responding to mass shooting events. This executive-level forum will ​incorporate nationally recognized subject matter experts specializing in emergency management, and mass casualty ​preparedness and response.

Who Should Attend?

This Forum is limited to invited ​participants and is designed for ​elected and local leaders from ​Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, ​Montgomery, and Philadelphia ​Counties, including:

  • Mayors
  • City Managers
  • County Officials
  • City Council Members
  • State Legislators
  • Emergency Managers
  • Public Information Officers (PIOs)
  • First Responders
  • Public Health Officials
  • School District Officials
  • Others who would provide leadership ​during a mass shooting incident

There is no cost for invited participants. This forum is hosted ​and funded by the Naval Postgraduate School Center for ​Homeland Defense and Security in partnership with ​Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force.
